The StenoCAT Users Group d/b/a StenoCAT Users Network promotes professionalism, education, camaraderie, and exchange of knowledge within the court reporting environment.  We recognize that visitors to our site may be concerned about the information they provide to us and how we treat that information.  StenoCAT Users Network is committed to honoring your privacy preferences.

Electronic Communications:

Your information will only be used as is necessary for SUN purposes, i.e., Continuing Education Certificates of Attendance, membership renewal notices, invoicing, conference registration confirmations, etc.  You may opt-out of receiving texts from the StenoCAT Users Network by not consenting to receiving texts.  You may also opt-out of having any membership information published on the StenoCAT Users Network website or any publications. 

Use of Information:

The StenoCAT Users Network does not sell your e-mail address or other personal information for any purposes.

Security of Your Information:

The StenoCAT Users Group d/b/a StenoCAT Users Network utilizes WildApricot as its membership platform.  To ensure security and privacy of your data, WildApricot provides traffic encryption (https) capability.  Traffic encryption ensures that data entered into the online forms (e.g. membership application, event registration, etc.) as well as data transferred from WildApricot servers back to visitors is protected if you access internet over an insecure WiFi connection.  Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet can ever be 100 percent secure.  While we strive to protect your information to the fullest extent, we cannot ensure or completely guarantee the security of such information.

The StenoCAT Users Network will take appropriate steps to protect the security of your personal information.  All employees and any Board members who have access to, and are associated with processing of personal data, are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your personal data. 

All sensitive information (such as your credit card information) provided to StenoCAT Users Network through our website (WildApricot) is transmitted either to us or to our credit card processor using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. 

Credit card numbers and passwords are not accessible to any SUN employees or Board members.

Links to Third-Party Sites:

The StenoCAT Users Network does provide links to third-party sites, such as hotels for event registrations.  Since we do not control those websites, we encourage you to review the privacy policies posted on any third-party sites.
